Neil: you make a pylon like normal, gateway at 13 supply
This is the fakeout part; it looks like a conventional opening
Meanwhile, right after your scouting probe goes to their base, you pull it back as if you're returning, then make a pylon at their natural, out of view of the chokepoint.
Cancel the gateway back at your base right before it finishes, start making gateways (at least 3 to start) at the opponent's natural.
I usually end up with 4.
Pump zealots as fast as possible, attack when you have five or six.
me: hmm, I find you views interesting and would like to subscribe to your newsletter
I'm sure you get cursed at a lot for that.
Neil: Just rally the gateways to the enemy base, if you have them on a control group you just have to hit # + zzzz every once in a while
People get mad and call me a newb.
Right before they surrender.
me: what's # do?
Neil: I've haven't lost with it in several games.
I just mean the number
me: oh
right
Neil: So if it's control group 2
me: of couse
yeah I get it
Neil: that's an anti-protoss strat
me: Do you know if there's an easy control group/hotkey way of making queens spawn broodlings?
Neil: I mean it might work against other races too, but probably not against good people.
broodlings?
You mean larvae?
me: whatever
larvae
Neil: Broodlings are a different unit
there is yeah
me: ok I would like to know your secrets
Neil: Someone posted about it on the TL boards a while back but I don't think I have it anymore
lemme check
me: ok thanks
The thing I love about zerg is that I can suicide my mutas killing their probes, but by the time they counter attack I have even more mutas plus a mass of ground units.
And a nuke
Neil: zerg doesn't have nukes though
me: I know
So for the gateways at their natural strat, do I use chrono boost on my nexus or on the gateways?
Neil: found it: http://www.team liquid.net/foru m/viewmessage.p hp?topic_id=125 725
me: Thanks,.
Neil: I use it on my nexus for the first couple times, then on the gateways once they're up.
